These Back Straps are used to hold the back side of the cover down when you use a cover lift on you tub. What usually happens is you add a cover lift screw down the normal lock clips to your hot tub. When you unlock the front clips it is easy to forget the back clips and you tear either the strap off or clip the cover or the clip off the hot tub either way the locking part is broken and it is not an easy repair. So in comes The Spa Guy Cover Lift Back Straps® they can be clipped to the existing clip Loop on the side of the cover where it will be lifted off then pulled down straight and screwed into the hot tub side panel. Then when the cover is closed the back side of the cover is held closed and when you open the cover with the lift they release the back and allow the cover to be opened. Look at the pictures and make sure that this style of Back Strap® will work on your cover. If your cover does not have a loop in the existing cover strap then this will not work, verify that your cover does not have a clip that will work with the other style.
